Intermediate Planner position available in Auckland



Reporting to our Planning Team Leader, this role is based in either our Takapuna or Takanini offices (with flexibility to work out of both) and would suit someone who can work with some level of independence, but in close co-operation with our team of planners, engineers, and surveyors. The role requires sound interpersonal skills which will be a critical factor in developing and maintaining good working relationships, both internal and external in order to achieve effective project delivery.


As a Planning professional you will be working predominantly on land development along with providing quality advice to clients on planning matters, to ensure adherence to council statutory obligations under the RMA and associated legislations.


Responsibilities include the management of a range of public and private sector planning projects, including liaison and relationship management with a diverse range of stakeholders including staff, clients, contractors, specialists and council staff.


The role is part of a wider tight-knit team that also includes Wellington, Queenstown and Tauranga based staff, so the successful candidate will have opportunities to get involved in a range of nationwide projects.


About you

  • Minimum 3 years experience

  • Bachelor of Urban Planning (or equivalent)

  • Working knowledge and experience of RMA and local body regulations
