Johan is a qualified professional civil engineer and project manager with three degrees and 29 years of experience in civil engineering and project management. This includes land development, subdivision and infrastructure projects (3 waters, earthworks & roading) in the private and public sectors. Johan has worked on many residential and commercial developments with experience on the overall process from feasibility and resource consenting, design and specification, through to tender documentation, construction and compliance.

Johan has also managed the application process to obtain Resource Consent, Engineering Plan Approval and/or Building Consent approval and/or amendments. He has been responsible to ensure that construction work is carried out according to applicable Code of Practice for Land Development and Subdivision as well as preparation of documentation and applications to obtain CoA & EACC approvals, Transportation approvals and final 224c subdivisional approval.

Johan has been the “Engineer to the Contract” on projects ensuring NZS 3910 contract management requirements are conducted fairly between the contractor, principal (client) and services/asset owner/s. Johan has also provided engineering construction monitoring based on MSQA (Management, Surveillance and Quality Assurance) principles. In addition, Johan has led the engineering stakeholder engagement with a variety of partners and communities including mana whenua.
